    The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow

Discussion in 'Discussion of Published Works' started by love2listen, Mar 11, 2009.

So I finally caved and read the actual story last year.

Unbelievable. Was written in what, like 1861? And its still just so freakin awesome! I always heard about Ichabod and the Headless Horseman, but I didnt know about Ichabod loving Katrina, and another man trying to steal her away. Its really a love story.
I love Ichabod! He's so loveable. Made me envy Katrina :D
The language Washington Irving uses is so lush and paints very rich images in your mind, the town of Sleepy Hollow, and the feast at the home of Katrina's father the farmer.
The ending was so disappointing though. What, they just never found Ichabod? Ever?
