    Best Survival Movies

Discussion in 'Entertainment' started by Squash, Mar 22, 2014.

Do you agree with this list on survival movies? Which ones have you seen and do you recommend any of them? I have seen a few of them.

I really liked Cast Away...probably the best one I would say on the list.

Would Hidalgo be considered a survival movie? I love that movie.

I've seen about half on that list and liked best Alive, First Blood, and This is the End (totally underrated comedy or I'm just easy to please, lol). Some movies not on the list that I would consider good or fun survival movies are the newest Rambo, Independence Day, and the first Resident Evil.

I did NOT like Castaway, Open Water, or Titanic. I think the best survival movie of all time might be Twilight since I wanted to kill myself after and didn't.

The list is missing Jeremiah Johnson. Because that movie was neither no. 1, #1, nor number one, I dub that list to be complete bearshit

I'm a bit surprised to see Lord of the Flies on the list. It doesn't seem to me so much a survival story, as a story about how not to survive.

Alive is a terrific movie, as are Life of Pi and Gravity. I also like The Edge. I haven't seen The Way Back, but I'd love to because I'm a Peter Weir fan.

The Hunted! I really liked that movie. The Edge was also a good flick.

    That's a great movie.

The Grey wasn't bad. I remember a movie about an airplane crash in winter and cannibalism but I can't remember the name.. I think it's from the 90s if anyone remembers.

Grave of the Fireflies is another. Empire of the Sun. Hmm.. there's so many more but I can't recall them.

Would you consider Grizzly Man a survival movie? The bears lived?
