Handy info! I've relied on changing it later, within the compiled document itself. I like this way much better. Another case of a question I did not know was there to be asked. :agreed:

@GingerCoffee, did you mean to add something to that quote? This is the second time I see this in a just a few minutes. The other was a different member. I'm worried the software is being wonky. :/

I'm going to tell you how to use chapters (folders). You can always convert them to scenes (text files) by right clicking them later.

    Copy your piece into "Manuscript".

Manuscript let's you open the whole file at once.

While in manuscript, click on "add" to open new folder (chapter). You should see two lines with a space in between. Now highlight your first chapter and drag it into the space between the lines.

    Do this for every chapter.

Now when you go to your menu bar you will see a bunch of new chapters (folders). Click on the first one and you'll see the chapter you put in it.

Somethings wonky, my post disappeared. And now it's back.

No, I did it I think. I hit reply but the quoted post didn't show up. Then I hit reply again and replied. Now I see the first one showed up as well.

I ended up watching a Youtube tutorial after all, since I wasn't able to understand the advice I was getting. All good now, I assume. I just didn't understand how the "manuscript" concept worked.

I hope you enjoy it once you get into it. For me, it makes writing a much easier process; everything is in one place, including my research and my character sketches.

I hope you let us know how well you like it once you've used it for a while.
