    Birthday Cake help

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Torana, Mar 31, 2008.

I am going to order a cake for my son who is 4 and loves Lightning McQueen. So I've got 4 images but want to know which one would be better.

Let me know what you think cause I can't decide

Yep, image 2. Defo! If I was still a child it's the one I'd want, though I'd probably not be too impressed having it cut to pieces. Why not buy two cakes? One he can share with his friends and the other to store under his bed so he can appreciate it until it develops enough fuel of its own to...well, I'm sure you get my drift:)

    Number 2.

you are lucky you can order them.
One year I made a Dukes of Hazard Cake for a friend of Raymonds.
Turned out great but sure wasn't professional.

Actually pick the one that will be enough for everyone. Don't want to be skimpy

I think image 3 would be the best. When I was really young, I couldn't care less about dinosaurs, astronauts or any of that stuff, I only cared about cars. And if I were given that cake, it would make my day.

If I were a four-year-old and I got Cake number two, I'd...uh...do an amusing little four-year-old happy dance. Or something in that general area.
    Two all the way!

Plus: Those photo-cakes taste kind of weird, so I'd say avoid three or four.

2, hands down, since it has a car and stuff he can keep on it... at that age, the toy value greatly outweighs artwork!

Ah, I only see three pictures. Anyway, I would go with number two. The first cake is a cute idea, but I remember having cakes like that, and I was always disappointed if 100% of the cake was not edible.

[edit] My birthday was this friday, and I was blessed with a german chocolate cake. Hallelujah!

An idea for your other little angel's birthday cake.
When I was little my best friends mom baked an angel food cake and put a barbie doll into the centre and decorated the cake like a ball gown. She made a sun hat out of icing and they were absolutely gorgeous. My mom paid her to make them for about 4 years straight. I still remember them looking almost too good to eat.
She might be a bit young but something to think about later. I know Mia is 3 and she is into barbies
