    books on grammar

Discussion in 'Discussion of Published Works' started by PrincessGarnet, Oct 15, 2007.

I really want to improve my writing, and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good book? I've come across some before but they tended to be too basic. Ideally I'd like a book which had exercises in it, so i could learn that way. Oh and if possible a British English book.

I got one at The Works recently which was pretty good and it was only 99p. It was a guide to basic Grammar and showed how some folk misused similar words and phrases. I will try and get the full details for you.

By the way I'm coming to St Andrews next monday to see a couple of customers so please make sure the sun is shining. I love the place except for that bloody fair they have every year. I always end up using 50million gallons of fuel just trying to find a parking space:mad:
