    Chained's Journal

Discussion in 'Progress Journals' started by Mumble Bee, May 28, 2016.

I can't call this a 'progress' journal for the same reason Taco Bell can't clam their food is beef.
There's just not enough to the claim.

Jokes (dark, self depreciating ones) aside, this is going to be less of a progress journal and more of a weapon against my procrastination.

    Rules
    1. Any like i get on this thread will require me to write 50 words
2 Any comment on this thread will require 100
3 Any mention of progress and we all take a drink (i might be getting my games mixed up)
    4 I declare thumb war.

Alright, rules are subject to change, make sure to ask your doctor if this thread is right for you.

MAXIMUM OF 1K WORDS PER DAY!

    UPDATED 9/10/2016
    Progress as of now;
Book 1- Magic, Mercenaries, and Advanced Math - Complete!
Book 2 - Name TBD - 2nd outline draft and dialogue done. Getting ready to start fleshing out scenes (Lost in the great computer crash of August 2016)

New Book 2 - 5.5k Words on (digital) paper. (goal is between 20-25k words)
(tenitive) name "My name is Minion"
    - All major plot/characters are drafted out.
    First two chapters are completed(ish)

So.. am I allowed to harass you to get more writing done? *blinks innocent eyes*

And hackle you if you don't get enough done?

    Technically yes...

But if we're following the rules to the letter here, you're mention of, "get enough done" and "get more writing done" fall under rule #3.

I can live with that ;)

But you already have to write 400 words, just in response to my answers - good :D <- *evil overlord speaking here*

Errr.... Typo, or was that deliberate?

Anyway hope you get good progress now that you started this journal.

Anyway 2 likes and a comment, so add 200 words to your quota.

I'll skip the drink, being virtual it won't taste any good anyway. ;-)

Thanks for your help with the poetry too btw.

I would like to know, how can you prove to us that you are really meeting quota?

How the register of the number of words assigned by me are being met?

    That there is progress?

Not that I want to come across as suspicious...

    *looking suspicious*

There, add another 100 words please.

Here, the drinks are on me. I made them specifically for you, since you're probably furiously tapping away and don't have to time to leave your desk. ;)

Hm, I think @Chained needs some more heckling on. Write, edit, write,.. and write some more. How many points are these? ;) At least worth 100. @LinnyV we might have to get Chained out of his hybernation again. He is hiding, clever guy that he is. He's found that, if he writes anything back in this thread we will immediately 'like' it and he has to write more.

Clever, but not clever enough! We are on you! :D

@Lifeline then he's in serious trouble.

Between you and me, he may need to write a trilogy. We may make him severely regret ever coming up with such a successful and ingenious motivation device.

And I do so love to talk to myself. I don't need him to reply to me at all. I don't even need an audience.

I'm a self-entertaining poet these days ya know...

    Chained Progress

    Mirror, mirror on the wall
Did Chained really write at all?
    Or did he just procrastinate
Fall asleep or [Insert rude activity]

omg...I am terrible, if I say so myself.

    @Chained - add another 100 words please.

You made me laugh :supergrin:Thanks for this!
I am not even an anti-poet, at the moment I am deep in analytical mode, critiquing *yeach*. Chained has to come out of his burrow sometime and then he will see where it gets him. HAH!

    :pop:

I'm glad I made you laugh.

On a serious note, I cannot recommend giving poetry a go enough. I was hated, despised, abhorred, could not stand seeing poetry previously. Why, I'm embarrassed it only took me age 39 to consider it. It really is like another dimension I've never considered. Space I never knew existed. Maybe if you see it as snippets of experiences it might appeal more?

Yes, I've become a preacher of poetry even though I still know nothing about it, or maybe one of those door to door salesman...

    Speaking of which...

    *Rapping on door*

I know you're in there Chained! Get your pants on and get to work writing! You need to make progress!

    @Chained - add another 100 words please...

Okay, when you first laid out a detailed list of everything I did yesterday, I was a little freaked out.
"Maybe its just a coincidence" I thought between nap time and rude activities

But then what did i wake up to today??

How do you know what i'm (not) wearing???
Do you have a camera set up in my house?

Or... Wait, you're not the pizza delivery girl are you?
I swear my order of extra sausage was in no way connected to my forgetting to wear pants when i answered the door!
And the "Brace yourself" message i sent as instructions for delivery was due to the haphazardly constructed porch...

Ah hah! You blinked by finally responding! I win! (nudges @Lifeline)

    *Snorts*

Oh please, as if I need to set up a camera to watch you. Aren't you the "The Chained Mistress" on that pay-per-view site? Since it was free because you struggled to get any clientele, I was curious.

I'll be honest, I am still traumatized. I thought you were suppose to be writing! Progress remember!

Life's tough being a struggling writer, I know.

Firstly, I don't care about for spelling and grammar, but it is a mortal sin to write your when it is you're. That gets you an automatic 1000 word penalty!

Secondly, *vicious wack* for thinking I am the pizza girl.
Can you not read? I am a door-t0-door salesman. I sell my poems and preach the religion of Poetry. Granted it's not even second rate material and closer to double digits.
Oh...yeah, I was wondering what you were trying to do with the sausage from watching the live streaming. It looked a little awkward to me.

    Yuk!

    @Chained - add 1150 words please.

*pitches it with a weird singsong* Uhm @LinnyV , there was the 1000 wc limit for one day? Remember? :D

Anyway I will just have to make an effort to nudge tomorrow, I will take good pointers from you. After all, I am supposed to be the evil overlord HARHAR!!

There are all these CCTV cameras which I can make use of, not to mention computer hacking to check @Chained 's progress *evilgrin*

@Lifeline I forgot about that. It doesn't matter. As far as I am concerned he's capped out today and he needs to work the keyboard and not other stuff.

You're an evil lord with hackery skills? Oh nice.

But really, you can just go to his pay-per-view site. I was being nice, he doesn't actually do much on it. It's worse than watching Big Brother or paint drying. He just sits at his desk staring at his screen comatose. It's no wonder business is bad.

Although, I could have been deceived. It's probably a looping feed and he might not even be home! Maybe you do need to hack into his computer. I can imagine it already...

*Chained sleeping at his desk when he should be writing!*

Lifeline (Computer screen): Wake up Chained

    *Chained wakes up finally..*

Lifeline (Computer screen): The Forum has you...

    Chained: What the hell...

Lifeline (Computer screen): Stop staring at the white background.

*Chained presses ESC a few times*

Lifeline (Computer screen): Knock, knock, Chained.

    *rapping on the door again*

Linny: Are you in there Chained?! Stop messing around and get to work writing!

@LinnyV : You pack a pretty good punch mate! :D

I could also hack into the local radio station (or his podcast, depending)..

    *Chained driving somewhere
The news get interrupted: Chained, where are you going? You need to make progress, so get the fuck home and sit down on your ass and write! And no rude activites either, you hear me?
    *Chained is creeped out

Do that a few times and I imagine he will be a good boy from now on ;)

OMG... I was going to get to the heckling later @Lifeline.

I'm actually laughing at your antics here.

I'm imagining a scary you staring at the poor guy through his window. Only, I've got images of Carrie for some reason.

    I don't think he's writing horror....
