    A Cyberpunk World

Discussion in 'Setting Development' started by thecoopertempleclause, Apr 23, 2012.

I'm writing a cyberpunk short story/novella for somebody and have an idea for a plot outline, but I was wondering if anyone could suggest some reading to get a feel for the genre. Bonus points if you can point me to stuff that I don't have to buy.

Literature examples only please. We've all seen Akira ;)

Thanks Mr. Kent, I'm grabbing it now. Any other suggestions would be welcome too.

Snow Crash is Supreme. A must-read, probably at your local library, but free depending on ethics (hint: internetz)

Couldn't read Neuromancer, but enjoyed the audio book version as well as Mona Lisa Overdrive; a bit schizophrenic but cool. Altered Carbon is also one I must finish sometime.
