    and a big amen to that, ghostly one!

    btw, i'd have no objection to 'work addict' or even 'workaphile' since the latin/greek suffixes '-philus/philos' mean 'a lover of' or, by extension, an addict... even 'workmaniac' would make better sense and be just as 'cute' a word for the masses to perpetuate...

    why the silly person who coined 'workaholic' didn't use a proper suffix and how all this '-aholic' nonsense could have become so universally misused is beyond me...

    I should have thought of that. I've been known to call myslef an audiophile.:p It's a reasonably common suffix already.
