    Lightning stirkes

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by SeverinR, Jul 21, 2011.

Last night the storm rolled in,
    lightning strikes,
Computer and Dish dead, tree bark spread across the yard.

Did not know when lightning strikes, the tree doesn't get charred, except maybe at the sight(to high and behind leaves to see.)

Bark blown off in strips down the path it took. The farthest piece 32 paces from the tree.

No working on the novels at home for a while. Not sure when I last backed up my writing. At least I have most of it on a flash drive.

Backup your files, you never know...

I love lightning :D Looks so cool when it's dark and it lights up the entire skylike daytime.

I hate lightning too. Ugh! I saw on the news where lightning struck and killed this old man then years later struck and killed his son! What r the odds of that?

I love the lightning too. We are getting it a lot lately in my area. I think god just found an outstanding bill he didn't know about and is now swearing so powerfully we humans can't hear it.

Florida = Lightning almost daily. Today I was in my garage and lightning struck the street-sign by the road. This has happened probably 3-4 times before, so it wasn't really a big deal.

When I was a kid, we were awakened one night by a thunderstorm. There was a crash righ over our heads. Next morning, we discovered that the thick STONE bench up on our roof garden had been split in two by a direct lightning strike. It looked like it had been carved apart by a laser.
