NOOOOOOO!! *makes slow motion grab at bouquet*

Ow, ow, ow, not the HAIR!! Stop biting me!!!

    :D

At my uncle and aunt's wedding, I was going to be the one to catch it. It landed right on the ground in front of me.....however, my uncle's best man appeared out of nowhere, took a Major League Baseball-style belly slide onto the floor, grabbed the bouquet and totally ruined the flowers and my moment. The bouquet was wrecked, and I was left standing in my bridesmaid dress with a shocked look on my face.

:D It was hilarious, but still. He caught the garter too (made another dramatic slide-grab for it) and had to dance with himself.

*crawls out from under table with bloody nose and black eye*

I'm fine. Nice punches, Mike Tyson. ;)

    *slaps steak on eye*

This matches my red reception dress at least. And we really do have great cake. *stuffs face*

Oh my god, look at that Corpse Bride cake!!

    It's gorgeous!

I am SO having a Burtonized cake for my wedding! That is, when Mattyo eventually pops the question (and makes lots of money and gets me a big house in wonderland and insists that I never work a day in my life again, Muahahaa...)

Yup, they were laying on the ground screaming in agony, the brides mother rang the ambulance and the rest of the women continued to fight like cats and dogs for the bouquet. It was HILARIOUS! I wish I had a copy of the video still. I never got tired of watching it. The only time you saw me was as I was running from the crowd to AVOID the bouquet throwing. I'm very anti-bouquet-catching. Women scare me.

Hope hidden didn't have anything like that happen when she threw her bouquet ;p lol

That is seriously insane--if anyone wants to catch flowers that bad, they're horribly competitive or just take things too seriously.

Thank you, guys!! These bouquet stories made me laugh. :) Mine didn't go like that at all, but I had a plot for my sister (bridesmaid) to catch the bouquet and Joel's best man (cute, single) to catch the garter. Didn't work. :( My sis caught the bouquet, but Joel didn't shoot the garter far enough for Brian to get it. I told him he should have punched the other guys (yeah...three single dudes at our reception. THREE) in the face and snagged it, but nooooo...

Aaaanyway, thank you all, again, for the well wishes and the wonderful thread! I love you guys! And I'll post pictures as soon as I can!!!

Oh, and uh...I kind of spaced on the fact that I hadn't talked to the officiator about singing the solo or having my mom read a poem. They found out about the poem because silly me forgot to print it, so it got brought up and ended up being read. However, I didn't end up singing the solo. Which was good, because I cried so hard reading my vows that I could barely talk.

I did sing it at our little reception after the ceremony though. I was really nervous and didn't have a copy of the music...forgot the words halfway through.

    Thank you! :)

I had several people taking pictures, so I'm working on getting pictures from all of them. I think we may have a few from Joel's family, so I'll try to get those posted in the next couple days so you guys can at least have something to look at until we get our pictures from our photographers.

Double post, sorry. I wasn't sure if I should post these here or in the picture thread, but I don't want to monopolize the picture thread, so here they go. Nothing super impressive, just a few pictures from my phone, but it's all I've got right now.

Hawaii was beautiful. I cried when we left because I wanted to stay there forever. Silly me, I'm such a baby!
