Besides read-a-lot-write-a-lot how can I get better at writing? Because I get the feel that I'm rushing, not explaining enough like I'm an exsanguinated Hemingway on speed, rushing to get the story done in the bare essentials. So let's talk about dissecting writing mechanics, styles, sentence construction.
