    Dagnabbit!

    Dude, i lost 6 grand in the market today, 21% of my portfolio. It's by far the most i've ever lost ever... ever. Now i understand why all those old guys jumped off of buildings back during the crash of... of... whatever year that big crash was... gahhhhhhhhh!!

    because i'm an idiot.

    And because my whole, "Diversification is for Suckers!" attitude had produced awesome results thus far. I learned my lesson. I extra learned my lesson. with cherries on top.

    You haven't lost anything unless you sold. In a year or two, your shares could recover. My portfolio paper losses in the last 12 months are staggering, but I haven't lost a dime yet in real money. Same with my real estate . . . went down over 20%. Fortunately, I do not need that money to live. I will simply weather the storm and enjoy the ride back up in a year or two. Those who panic are the ones who will suffer.
