Over the weekend Dan received an email from a German publisher asking him to send him some of his work, not only for an anthology, but for novel release as well. After some discussion, we found out that a guy Dan met on Facebook gave the publisher of Voodoo Press a copy of Malpractice (from Necrotic Tissue) and the publisher found Dan's story in there, enjoyed it so much that he sent Dan a submission request. Dan sent off 3 stories. One novel, one novella and one short story. After a few days considering the pieces, he received an email back saying yes to all 3 pieces. So I am really proud of my hun who has just sold the German rights to 3 of his stories and will have 3 pieces out with Voodoo Press once they are translated... Samhane, Come Into Darkness and Tricks, Mischief and Mayhem. Well done hunny. You have worked really hard for this.
It's not just good for Dan though, the publisher is also after other English horror writers now as well. So I'm really stocked because it has opened up new options for other English writers in the horror genre. Which is always a truly wonderful thing. Who new networking on Facebook could open up so many doors.
Wow, what fantastic news! Thanks for spreading the word, Tor, and congrats Dan! It must be an unbelievably satisfying feeling for people to come to you now instead of you sending work out.
