    Writing Terms

    Are there any writing terms or slang that would be helpful for a completely oblivious first time author?

    Setting aside the above, here are a few:

    POV = point of view
    MC = main charcter
    ARC = advanced reading copy
    Beta Reader = someone (preferably not family) who is familiar with your genre and well read, who can read your drafts.
    MS = manuscript
    WIP = work in progress


    Those come to mind.
