Question [Solved] What happened to the Lounge, Writing Prompts. ect. ?

It might be just on my end, but the Lounge section of the forum has vanished, along with writing prompts and all the other misc. things. So is it going to come back? Thanks

 

I think the forum became partially self aware and tried to put itself on ignore due to the Debate Room. This caused a destructive, irreconcilable loop, and basically it was NOMAD all over again.

 

Lounge and RP section are missing.

This is the best first official day as a mod ever. An exciting mystery!

It would appear the debate room exploded and caused some collateral damage. Maybe @Kingtype is still getting his sea legs.

Well I would almost bet dollars to donuts that the mods finally got their way after several complaints from certain people, and all the non-writing threads will seize to exist. I don't know this for sure, but I'm guessing.

Why should it be tolerated in the debate forum to personally insult people with whom you don't agree with their politics? Disagreements don't have to be personal. It seems some people don't understand the difference between asking about a position or disagreeing with one and calling someone names.

 

Guys, the Lounge is still there. You all must be banned from it for some reason.

Hey, let's keep this classy. I was getting about 11 alerts for the debate thread at once The traffic most likely killed it. If a capybara is chewing on a wire somewhere, the Mods and IT folk will be on the hunt.

You should have been getting just one alert per thread. That is until you look at the thread, then you would get a new alert for a new post until you look at it again.

They're still there, but a couple people guessed the reference so I picked something else.

Oh, dear. I hope the Lounge in all its manifestations is not forever gone. I am a gutless wonder and didn't frequent the Debate Room. But I know it was (mostly) enjoyed by those who did, and then there were all the other great virtual places. Maybe it's a sign I have no life, but it was nice knowing I had somewhere to blow off Happy and Not-Happy steam.

Yeah seems odd. Why not just kill the Debate Room if it was driving people to complain, and leave the rest?
