Do Miidle Schools have a right to Monitor your Facebook?

    I wasn't arguing. I was simply stating it didn't bother me much, teenager or not. It's a free country, he has a right to aggressively speak out on the matter if he wishes to do so.

    It's none of their business. I was once called up for comments I'd put about a teacher (nothing too off-the-wall: just how he was behaving like a prat) and said that as I hadn't added him or anyone else from school on Facebook it was a private comment, equivalent to gossip between friends. They didn't do anything, although his lessons were always a little frosty after that.

    Schools and employers shouldn't have the right to trawl their pupils' and employees' private lives. If we give any ground on this we'll wake up one day and won't have private lives. There has to be a line, and it's definitely been crossed.
