I call her mom most of the time, but I also call her mama or mommy sometimes (mostly to be silly and for laughs), lol. I call her 'momi' a lot in text messages, hahaha. Also, I refer to her as ma every now and then. When I really when to piss her off I will call her mimi. She gets so touchy about that, because of Mimi from that Drew Carrey show, lol. I don't even remember why I called her mimi in the first place, I think it was a slip of the tongue, and then she was like freaking out that she's not Mimi and I thought it was funny and so now I use it every once and a while. Oh, and again to be silly, sometimes miss, missy or ma'am. Again, it depends if I'm being stupid. Usually mom, though, lol. My father I used to refer to as papa, papi or pa.
I call her Mom, Mommy or Ma. Ma to me always sounds like old-school New York, which is why I like using it. Both of my parents, who are native New Yorkers, call their mothers Ma interchangeably with Mom. I will call her Mother when I'm being fake formal. My father is Dad or Daddy. I remember now I used to call him "Da" to mirror "Ma." Not like the Russian word for "yes," but more like Dad just the second "d" chopped off.
I call my mom, mom and my dad, dad Yes very original I know Sometimes when I'm joking or trying to get her attention (usualy the second) I call her Mother or her first name
You didn't put Mama as an option.... That's what my mother required us to call her..she hated any other name except Mama.
Mum, Dad, Grandma/Nana, Grandpa I think Mama sounds nice but I wouldn't say it, it would sound all weird and fake now aha
When I was little it was mummy/daddy, now I'd never say that cos it would be obvious I was just after something
Quite a few of my friends, and my sister, say 'Mumma'. I think it sounds nicer than Mum. My brother and I say Mummy still, but I'd never refer to her as that in front of my friends, I'd say just 'my mother'.
Sophie-Nana for me(and all Indians) is my maternal grandfather.. Nani is maternal grandmother. Dada, Dadi, paternal grand(father, mother) respectively.
I'm trying to get into the habit of using the Polish forms, 'matka' and 'tata', and yes, 'mama' is probably used more that 'matka' but matka just sound more mature. Other than that its just 'mom'.
My mother is: mother when I'm mad momma most of the time mommy, mum, ma sometimes her first name when I am introducing her My "paternal genetic donator" is never father or dad, always his first name bc I have no respect for him My grandmothers (I had two betties) are Gram, for my mother's mother Gramma Betty, was my father's mother Betty, for my grandfather's second wife (but not out of disrespect) My grandfather grandad my mentor Bubby Marlene, Ms marlene
I say Mummy still, as my mother dislikes the word Mum (too common) and Mother is too formal. I don't mind referring to her as that in front of friends.
