    Writing over Christmas

Discussion in 'General Writing' started by elbow27, Dec 24, 2012.

As part of my effort to escape the festive season this year - it's a tough one for me for various reasons - I'm keeping my nose in the book I'm writing. I'm nearly finished and I think the bulk will be done by the end of the 25th. Then I'll spend a couple of days editing.

Is anybody else spending Christmas in this way, or am I totally nuts?

Not nuts! Can't think of a better way to spend the holidays. Sometimes too much drama is stirred up by the relatives
so I find the solace of writing the very definition of my Christmas Peace on Earth!

This is a good oppertunity to write down all their behaviors. :D

If you're writing at home, it's better than being on the road where drunk drivers are at;)

So true. I sometimes think writing is the ultimate escape, and the ultimate luxury. Being wrapped up in stories and words; how magical.

Enjoy Christmas, however you choose to spend it!

It's actually been more productive (so far) writing-wise than I've been for a long while.

My wonderful girlfriend bought me a Nexus 7, and to my surprise it's an absolute dream to write on. So hopefully this prolific streak won't end with the tinsel and mince pies!

it's just another day to me, as i don't observe any religious holidays... or any, actually... so i'm doing what i do every other day... helping writers online and via email... and working on clients' projects...
