    Double Commas

Discussion in 'Word Mechanics' started by vanilla16, Dec 21, 2011.

I saw this sentence in an algebra textbook:
". . . so using fractional exponents,, we can go back and forth between roots and powers whenever we want."

Why were two commas used in this sentence? Is there a rule to justify this usage, or could it be an error?

    TYSM,
