    Dove vs dived

Discussion in 'Word Mechanics' started by marcusl, Sep 20, 2009.

I would just like to know the difference between "dove" and "dived". For example, should I say "he dived at her", or "he dove at her"? Thank you.

They are alternate past tenses of the verb to dive. I myself prefer dove, but either is acceptable.
