I'm really enjoying this show. It's really entertaining, and now halfway through season 2 I can finally understand pretty much everything Kelly says. My only question is, are murders just not that big a deal in the UK? Because there have been like ten murders already in and around this community center (set upon the ever famous Southmere Lake in Thamesmead), and the center is still open, no one seems to be eyeballing the ASBO 5 as of yet for any of these murders... What gives?
I love a lot of HBO & ShowTime dramas. Haven't seen this, altho I should watch it. I feel like a misfit half the time. Some I do love are "Shameless", "Homeland", "The Leftovers". I think my favorite has been "Dexter" - the idea of a good or heroic serial killer is really interesting.
Yeah, I wouldn't see that one - don't have the slightest idea about that channel. I thought I'd read in another thread that you watch some of the other shows I mentioned. Maybe it was someone else. I remembered it because it was nice to read where someone else likes those shows too.
You know that Shameless is also a borrow from the U.K., yes? The original U.K. version is a lot less "Hollywood" in that the production values aren't the same, but in some ways that actually makes it a lot better. The US veriosn would have you believe that pretty much everyone living on the wrong side of the tracks in Chicago is pretty much runway beautiful. The U.K. version is more real in its presentation of characters.
Oh! I loved this series. But only the first three seasons (or was it two)? Spoiler After Nathan left, things got boring.
Ha! You're not the first person to say that about Nathan's departure. He was a tool, but a charmingly lovable tool.
IKR? My interest waned as well. I think I watched the rest of the series, but I can't remember much. There was that replacement guy with his Jekyll and Hyde power, but I didn't find him that interesting tbh. I just rewatched the first two seasons, though. I've seen it three times now, so I guess I'm a bit of a fan.
