    Fabled Treasures

Discussion in 'Research' started by Marcelo, Jun 23, 2008.

Apart from the Holy Grail, Fountain of Youth, the Ark of the Covenant and El Dorado, what other legendary treasures are there?

not exactly a tangible treasure, but 'the fountain of youth' has also been long sought...

come on! I need more T-T I'm currently developing a plot in which the Holy Grail can reveal the location of the Ark of the Covenant, and the Ark of the Covenant can reveal the location of a kewl treasure. I was going to use the fountain of youth, but I can't 'connect' it with the other two treasures.

maybe the fountain of youth hides one of the treasures and you must drink down all the sweet fluid.

There's supposed to be a big gold mine here in Arizona, the Dutchman mine, that has been lost and never found by anyone. It's not as famous as say, the fountain of youth, but that just might make things more interesting if you use both famous and not-so-well-known lost treasures together. :)

There's a fabled treasure on Hermit's Island in the Apostle Islands of Lake Superior. I learned that on vacation this week...a little simpler, but still good fun if you want to use it.

Something more... European, African or Asian? I have to connect it to the Templars somehow.

I dunno if it can be connected to Templars, but it's in Africa dealing with Asian sailors. Might spark a few ideas if you need to make up a treasure of your own.
