Informational book: how to structure chapters

Discussion in 'Non-Fiction' started by StevieT, May 13, 2015.

    Dear awesome community,

At the moment I'm writing an informational book about social anxiety. I've finished every chapter, each chapter contains a way to relieve yourself of social anxiety.
I let my mother read it and she answered that the chapters are not structured to be read easily. I jump to the conclusion and give the information without dragging people into the subject.

Can you recommend structures/books with information on this that make an informational book readable? Something like: start with a story, explain the topic for beginners etc.

Looking forward to your replies :)

    Kind regards,
    Steve
