    Possibly - even academics studying them shrug their shoulders a lot lol Another possibility might be scandinavia there have always been close links between the North of Scotland and there.

    Actually relating this to the OP - finding out about these cultures made varying my elemental people a lot easier - some have a more african feel, another is more asian/irish lol Then I have the people descended from a man from Southampton and a mad religious woman from North Scotland. Which is what Tolkein did at a much more advanced level - he had years of study as an Oxford Don.
