Actually Marloy's right Samurai X is the prequel four part OVA. Rurouni Kenshin aired on cartoon network as "Rurouni Kenshin"

I know I saw Rurouni Kenshin because the animation was obviously one of an anime series not an OVA, and there were a lot of episodes

lol anywho that is strange unless it was in a different language and the dubbing was off or something I don't know. I know that there was a Kenshin movie that was dubbed Samurai X in Japan but that's all I know

Hmmm, I didn't know Samurai X was related to Rurouni Kenshin. It's the top rated anime at AnimeNewsNetwork.com

The Samurai X ova is one of my favourites, though I do enjoy the Rurouni Kenshin series as well... In Aus. the movie was just released as 'Samurai X: The Motion Picture', but it lends itself more to the Rurouni Kenshin series than the ova.

Great Teacher Onizuka is another favourite - he has seriously got to be the coolest loser ever :D. I also like Inuyasha, Dragonball Z (yeah, yeah), and I really got into Neon Genesis Evangelion when it first came out. Bleach I haven't seen enough of yet, I liked it well enough, though everyone keeps telling me to read the manga instead, and - sadly - I've yet to see any animated versions of Death Note... :(

Edit: I should also mention that the Samurai X ova now contains six parts - some time after Rurouni Kenshin they did another two episodes detailing the final years of Kenshins' and Kaorus' lives....

The manga of Inuyasha just ended, aw. And your friends are right, read the manga, it's more or less the same except the anime has fillers and stuff.

Hehe... That's almost a relief - last I heard there was nearly 200, which makes it really expensive to collect.

    :)

Inuyasha never finished on adult swim by what I recall but the series is over as far as I know. Someone told me that to finish the series I should just read the manga but there are still the unaired episodes in japanese that finish the series.

And whoever said Gungrave and Negima....

    *thumbs up*

The anime of Inuyasha ended before the manga series. Dunno if they'll pick it up again, or make into OVAs or a movie.

Really? Only 4? I thought there'd be more for some reason like DBZ

Oh well, I wish they'd put new episodes on adult swim

Or at least put an anime worth watching (I have mixed feelings about Code GEISS)

    LMAO that's actually funny :D

I don't even understand what that anime is about and looks like a cheap knock-off of Gundam and Appleseed

It is. The animation is good, the character design was done by CLAMP (the girls that did Cardcaptor Sakura, X/1999, xxHolic, etc.), and the story is more or less interesting. But there's so much teen-angst!

That's what I thought it looked like I used to watch Cardcapters too. Code GEISS to me is one of those animes that no one really cares about like Eureka 7 and Blood Plus (in my opinion)

The only anime I found worth watching that no one I know really paid attention to was Fooly Cooly and that one weird anime with the kid and the golden baseball bat

...can't remember what it's called but it was interestingly weird...

Furi Kuri, yeah, that one was to through us for a loop. What I heard was that Gainax was experimenting new animation techniques and released those OVAs to use them.
