    Favorite TV shows

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Scarecrow28, Aug 19, 2008.

When your not writing, what tv shows do you enjoy? I like THE UNIT (or did before CBS started airing it at completely random times), NCIS, some CSI stuff, 24, and LOST. I'm starting to watch X-FILES via netflix as well as BURN NOTICE and FIREFLY. That new show FRINGE on Fox looks pretty interesting and X-FILES-esque.

Okay I'll admit it. I like Dr. Who, the new and the old. The Doctor rocks! I enjoyed The X files until they turned it into a soap opera.

X-Files, Ally Mcbeal (first three seasons), Whose Line Is it Anyway? (collecting as they come out on DVD), and - well - that's about it for American shows.

I've yet to see Doctor Who, but all my friends love it. I'll have to Netflix it.

I watch a lot more Japanese renzoku's, which end rather quickly (10 to 12 45 minute episodes only). Not that I have the attention span of fish. I just prefer shorter shows with all the filler cut out.

Next Top Model (British and Australian version- the American version- inspite of my fierce love for Tyra Banks, ****s me off too much, bloody thick contestants/palmface)

Project Runway (in this case, especially the American version- very awesome artists :-D)

The Mighty Boosh (because cult comedy is super)

Most of my picks are old tv shows no longer running:

-Seinfeld (the humor in this, lmao, I can relate this show to actual real life more than any other tv show, sometimes something will happen to me, and I'll think, "wow, that could have totally been an episode of Seinfeld.")

-Married With Children (I love Al, I love Peg, I love Kelly with her stupidity and Bud with his girl problems, the whole show is hilarious.)

-America's Next Top Model (I can't help this one. I watched a marathon of it one day when I was sick, and I became hooked.... it pisses me off a lot, though.)

-I Love Lucy (Lucille Ball is a comic genius. I admire her and her work so much. I grew up watching her, and I still do.)

-Boy Meets World (lol, I love this show.... :( )

-Batman: the Animated Series (best cartoon ever, end.)

That's about it. I don't watch too much tv. I've recently got into Project Runway and I watch other shows offhandedly sometimes (Office, X-Files, Sex and the City, reality tv and talk shows, etc.), but I'm a long ways way from being a fan of any of those.

I''m not much of a T.V. person so I end up watching DVD collections. My most recent favorite is Surface.

I almost forget both Chuck and the Office. I watched every episode of Chuck last season and I watch the Office from time to time.

I am too impatient with network TV and can't sit through the commercials. Now they even post commercials for upcoming shows in the corners of the show you're actually watching. Commercials wouldn't be so bad, if they showed a variety or they were funny, but it's always the same ones at every break. However, I will endure them for almost any of Gordon Ramsey's shows.:)

I like a lot of series on Showtime and HBO though like Weeds, Dexter, The Tudors, but I only watch them on demand since I cant keep up with what nights they actually come on.

I hardly ever watch tv, but my family and I religiously watch the awesome Canadian show Corner Gas. Other than that, I manly watch anime via the internet. For anyone concerned, I like Trigun, Death Note, Hellsing, Gungrave, Excel Saga, Berserk, Elfen Lied, Samurai Champloo, Black Lagoon, and Gantz.

Gungrave was awesome! :D So was Hellsing and Samurai and Trigun.

I took a tour to Warner Bros. back in May the day after my birthday and I saw the cast of Entourage on set which was pretty cool and I've been meaning to watch that show.
