Oh yeah umm... i haven't shown you guys any of my art in a while so I'll show u just what my Advanced Art teacher did to me. :p

It's my two main characters -though the dress is the wrong kind and is a bit too modern. I've also been too lazy to do a background yet.

    Full Name: Edward Seymour VI

    Gender/Age: Male, 28

Job: Senior Expeditionary Idiosyncratic Acquisition Specialist. It's a highly necessary and deeply difficult position.

Appearance: Edward's family traits are clearly visible in his visage, ranging from his perfectly groomed light brown hair to his fair skin. His dark brown eyes are deep and carry the twinkle of thoughts beyond spoken, but these details are often lost in the mischievous grin which frequently dominates his deceptively boyish face. His tall, athletic build speaks for the luxury of frequent sporting that wealth allows, and his personally tailored shirts and pants, carefully designed to barely fit within uniform requirements, stand witness to his class and prestige.

Personality: Edward very accurate perceived that, as the heir to the aristocratic Seymour family, he had duties, and he pursued his duties very diligently. However, the difference between the duties he pursued and the duties of a nobleman are, to his family's dismay, grand. Instead of virtues such as leadership, honor, or charity, or even productive traits such as industry, calculativeness, or invention. Instead, he flirts. With everyone. That's right, Edward doesn't devote his life and energy to that innocent little pastime which the common folk attribute to flirtatiousness. For Edward, everyone at anytime is open season. Men, women, anything in between and anything beyond. He has a dirty mind, and he makes sure that no soul misses out on it.

Background: Edward was born into a life of mansions and money and love and money and servants and money and luxury and money and art and money and happiness and money and sports and money. As the pampered eldest son of the Seymour family, Edward was raised spoiled. Showered with gifts and care by his family's countless servants and, occasionally, his parents, Edward grew up knowing that he had much at his fingertips. So one day, a young Edward pondered: With so much wealth and so much potential, what should be done? The answer came after careful reflection and meditation: Spend it all! From henceforth, he resolved to leave no game unplayed, no wine untasted, no merry unmade.

Eventually, his parents tired of his path and offered him a cruel ultimatum. They'd accepted that he wouldn't join the military, or become a politician, or start a new business, but by goodness he would do something or they would sell his favorite horse. Begrudgingly, Edward complied and began searching for something his family might approve of. Mentioning his dire need to a gentleman by the name of Donovan, who just happened to be the admissions officer for the crew of a new vessel called the 'Fate Falcon' (or something like that), Edward was offered a spot on the crew as a laborer. Edward graciously rejected this offer, insisting that he work as something more akin to his personal assets. As a result, he proposed to Donovan that he document and inventory all relics which the expedition discovered on their, well, expedition. The rest, as they say, is present. Or history. Something.

Skills: In his extensive endeavours as a typical absurdly wealthy youth, Edward has gone riding, gambling, trap shooting, hunting, running, cycling, hurdling, wingsuiting, winetasting, singing, dancing, jousting, birding, hiking, and sightseeing. He's even dabbled in shuffleboard, billiards, and swordplay. What he's never dabbled in, however, is anything related to working on an airship or studying relics, but Donovan sure didn't seem to mind that night.

Misc: Edward has a very sharp eye, making him an excellent marksman and even more excellent connoisseur of arse.

    Full Name: Johnathon Darius Kane

    Gender/Age: Male, aged 40

    Job: Head Medical Officer

Appearance: Johnathon, or John for short, is a tall (6.1) well-built man of caucasian complexion. Due to his long service in the military he has excellent posture and is athletic, though he hasn’t needed to run or fight in a while. His black hair is streaked with white and is usually kept short (not military short though). He keeps his black beard short and well looked after. His lean face (not guant though) is adorned with his two startlingly evergreen eyes and has a light scar running from his right eyebrow to his cheek bone in a straight line, missing his eye however. John wears most of the uniform except for the boots, which he replaces with black military ones. He also has the added component of his old military trench coat, which reaches his ankles and is made of a thick black leather. It is rare for him to be seen without it over top of his uniform.

Personality: John once strongly believed in everything the Aeternian military stood for but since his service he has become disenfranchised. His service in the armed forces in the Forever War however has given him a grudging appreciation of rules in times of war but he is in no way driven to abide by them in any way, especially since his departure from service. It was his time in the military and the horrors of war that he endured that shaped him into the person he is today. When dealing with other people he is generally cordial but holds himself back, a consequence of his military life where he could become friends with a person one day and then have them die in his hands the very next. A bi-product of all the pain and suffering he has seen is his sarcastic attitude which can waxes and wanes depending on his mood. John is very astute and a good judge of character. He was always interested in science and knowledge but his time in Arcania opened him up to other ways of thinking that are outside the norms of the Aeternian teachings. He is agnostic in regards to the various faiths of the land and open minded. In a fight John is generally cool and collected, however since his time in the Forever War he has developed a dislike, bordering on phobia of blood. If he, or others counting on him, can afford to avoid the sight of too much blood he will. It may be on this journey that he conquers his fear. Enjoys a good bottle of brandy.

Background: Johnathon Kane was born to an upper middle class Aternian family. His father was a doctor and his mother a university teacher. When he came of age he left his family, bright and eager, to study medicine in Holdenheim. There he trained to be a doctor for two years before joining the army to fight in the Forever War. It would change his life. For seventeen years he fought on the front lines of the war as a combat medic and field doctor, treating an uncountable amount of injuries ranging from minor, life threatening and terribly mortal. Needless to say this had a profound effect on John, completely destroying the young man he had been. He began to itemise life (something he can still slip back into under pressure), seeing the wounded as figures of possibility instead of people. When forced to take he did so with the same efficiency and dedication with which he saved them. After years of death and destruction John finally snapped, and during an Arcanian rush decided not to retreat with the others but to stay with the wounded and defend them until the end. That day, from his superior position, he shot and killed Arcanians until he ran out of ammunition for his gun. Surprisingly he was taken prisoner and transported back to Arcania, to Altamura. For the next four years he was imprisoned. Initially he was in an actual prison but effectively a broken man after his traumatic experience he was placed in a halfway. From there he was allowed to wander the capital (to a degree) under guard. It was here that he slowly recovered from the war and learnt about the teachings of the Arcania in their great libraries. It was during this time that he befriended a noble of Arcania who shared his love for knowledge and learning. It was this friendship that eventually led to John’s release after four years. Returning to Aeternia he was decorated for his bravery in battle and praised as a war hero. All he felt was sick, sick at himself for the lives he had taken and sick of the war. He left the military and spent a year trying to rediscover himself. When he heard about the voyage of the Feyfalken he thought saw a good opportunity to make himself of some use helping people who were seeking knowledge and understanding on a journey of discovery. Just the kind of thing that he loved and a far cry from the battlefield. As soon as he heard about it he made called in some favours and got himself assigned. While completely over qualified as a doctor for a research vessel it’s exactly what he wants, I mean how bad can injuries get on a research mission?

Skills: An exceptional doctor with a lifetimes worth of experience in injuries of all kinds. Good combat skills, especially with a pistol (though he is heavily against fighting and won’t kill humans, undead and such are fair game, even to save his own life). Keen mind for academic areas.

Misc:Hardly seen anywhere without his trench coat and keeps a bottle of the finest brandy for the day when the Feyfalken returns home. Perhaps learned some healing skills or tricks from his four years in Arcania..

Hey guys I was just wondering, if I wrote something like this. Well, he thought, they don’t call it ‘Insidias-infirmitas’ for nothing. The disease had been quite easy to recognize due to the- frantic pounding at his door made him jump, and almost shattered his composure as his instincts managed to let out another scream before he pushed them down- abruptness of its nature. Would the use of the dash make sense to you?

Or would it be better to just use a full stop and leave out the continuation completely?

It works but I had to do a quick double take to pick it up. I might have used ... but that's not necessarily correct punctuation it just seems more natural to me for getting broken out of thought. The dash makes it clearer when you return to the previous part though.

Nice first post, although you need to be careful as assuming your patients are from this expedition it makes the assumption that the large group has already made it back to the Feyfalken who were still in the process of getting back. I've done my post to jump them close to the Feyfalken now so if you assume it's prior to your post it should be fine. (It also gives Anony the opportunity to do something to us still if he so wishes)

    Welcome to Feyfalken :)

Now to just hope the dead security team member doesn't suddenly reanimate!

Thanks @Mike Nemesis ! Happy to be here.
I see what you mean about the order of things and I probably should have waited one more post before putting mine up but I couldn't wait, the anticipation of jumping into the story was killing me :p

When I wrote the scene I was thinking that some people outside the main group had been attacked, like some stragglers trying to catch up, and since they were closer to the ship were able to get there ahead of the main group.

Do you think I should keep with this line of thinking and have your messenger bring news of more wounded, or be the lead up to my scene like you said?

Yep waiting for people to post can get like that! Maybe have it as the lead up as we only mentioned sending out one security detail which are all accounted for as either with me or Vlad. But it's not the end of the world either way.

I've nothing more to add. Sabre pretty much stole the words right out of my mouth and did everything Dorian was going to do. I ought to toss him in the brig for out-captaining the captain, LOL.

Anyway, the scene has pretty much run its course. If you guys want to write your characters returning to the ship, please do so as soon as possible. Otherwise, I'll write a big post (probably on Monday morning; busy weekend for me) that has us all on board, in the air, and dealing with the aftermath. :)

When Christoph gets a moment to speak to you the brig may very well be where your end up throwing him! In the mean time I just got a temporary promotion it seems.

You'll get your chance. There will be a debriefing, where each division involved in the incident will have a chance to report in. (That's why he asked Christoph to ready a report, in case Vlad doesn't make it. ;)) That debriefing is actually meant for the ranking member of each deivision (i.e head of research (Integra), head medical officer (John), and Trixy, who was temporarily in charge of the laborers, etc) but I suspect Christoph will be invited as well, since he basically acted as Vlad's right-hand-man.

Sweet, I'm looking forward to that meeting. How are we going to do it? a big collaborative or small sharp posts for each of our characters in reaction to each other?

Just read over my previous post.

"He picked out the two best injured runners in the security detail"

Poor guys that was meant to say uninjured haha. I know your hurting men but hop to it! That sprained ankle is no excuse haha.

Sorry for my recent absence I have been rather busy with acquiring a new job. But it looks like things are all go on the Feyfalken with new crew members in our midst!

Tessa needs to catch up before Anonymouse takes the airship away - with that in mind shall we do a super awesome 3 way collab @Pheonix & @Keitsumah? Vlad, Tessa and Geof and the race to the Feyfalken!?

EDIT: On second thought we might not be able to do that, I remembered that Keits is away for a few days.

As Pheonix said its the danger of everyone enjoying the RP. I'm afraid all I have is free time on my hands and a block for writing any notable length story at the moment so your just getting bombarded by lengthy RP posts when the opportunity presents itself!

@Fan7asticMrFox and @Pheonix are you guys working on a collab or is it okay for me to move things along? In my latest post, I wrote that everyone's on board, but I kept it very vague, so there's still room to describe how you got on board.

We were thinking of collabing but we didn't get far into writing anything, so I think it's safe to assume we are on board. I don't know whether pheonix wants to post but I personally am happy to move on... But how far exactly? Or are you going to do the debrief?

Bah that is the worst timing to get home! That's one of my majorrrrrrrrr pet peeves but that's just me wanting to do something explosive.

    *aka: The pin!!!!!*

Now i've got an itch that will take a few weeks to avoid scratching....
