    Last Sunday (167)

A funny thing happened on my way to see you.

I went to the florist, as always on Sundays, and asked for your bouquet. The man looked me in the eye, he knows those flowers are for you. After all, I’ve been a regular customer for the past few months, haven’t I?

Strangely enough, he didn't pick the usual composition. He chose different flowers I don't really know the name of, but you'd have seen just how magnificent the whole thing was. He even took a deep blue ribbon to tie it together. When I asked him about the price, I’m pretty sure he lied to me. He said that it wasn’t proper for a gentleman to always gift the same things to a lady. Got to put some variety from here to there, some unexpected.

He was right, these suit you much more than those dull chrysanthemums. I will have to make a stop to thank him on my way back from the graveyard.

Well done @Sniam! Nice (well, not nice) twist.

I voted for @doggiedude, like I think I did last time. Apparently I'm a fan :agreed:

I considered @rem's story as well because it made me laugh. I was glad it picked up some votes.

Well done, @Sniam - I voted for you. To be fair to @doggiedude I think he came second and I came joint third (I think someone must have voted for my story after the deadline had passed, 'cos last time i checked I was on 4). I liked your story doggiedude, but didn't get the ending (perhaps 'cos I am veggie and am used to eating all kinds of weird fauxmeat)! @Tenderiser did you guess correctly which was my story?

    I didn't. Did I say I thought I had? (Goldfish memory)

Doggie's story made me hungry. Mmm vegan fajitas.

Interesting. Maybe I thought doggie's was yours because of the vegetarian stuff?

Oh dear, that was unexpected !
Thank you for reading and appreciating my work, I know it was a little tear-jerking but I felt it would be more relatable this way. Thanks to those who voted for my text, and well done to those on the podium with me :)

Well all I know is I voted on the losing end this time. Not that I knew who had written any them. :p
