I came here to read the stories and cast a vote. Only the stories aren't here and I can't see a link. Not helpful. Do I cast a blind vote or do I come back later? I'll come back later.

Good crop of stories! As usual I narrowed it down to two, ummed and ahhed, and made my choice.

I also had two that ran close, but have made my decision. Vote cast.

Sorry about that. I came back to add the line about the contest taking a hiatus and clumsy fingers had me replace the line with the link instead of just adding the new line. I've re-added it to the OP.

The voting is really spread out, which I think shows that several of the stories were similar in quality. Nobody should feel bad about not winning this one!

Thanks @Wreybies You might like to correct the typo in the second title too, as it's a poor reflection on the (not to blame) author of the story.

You haven't mentioned that there are no full stops on two of the sentences in his post, but there on two others.

Good. Poor Wrey needs a holiday!

I'm being humorous Wrey, don't ban me. ILY.

Is centring a title like writing your name underneath it? I think it might be for some (no malice implied)... makes it recognizable, maybe (not author's intention)... yadda yadda, what do I know?

(voted – ooooh, broke a tie! [and nailed my voting colours to the mast, for those who care to look – don't like doing that, I usually hide, quietly, don't know why, principles of democracy, maybe, something like that] Vive le flash!)

It is standard practice to centre titles (though not here). There are three entries this time with centred titles so I am sure it was not intended as an identiefable mark, nor is it!

So what happens if there was a draw? Is there a sudden death story off? :p

    There's a run-off vote. If that's a draw, naked mud wrestling.

And I have my winner! Great efforts all round, but one in particular really spoke to me. I love it when a piece not only entertains but strikes a point of reference in my own experience. Been there, done that, thought the very same. :D
