    Psychological

Discussion in 'Research' started by nickbrookes1991, Jul 7, 2010.

Hi I have just started writing not long ago and started a new book based on psychological plots, I was just wondering if any of you had any ideas that I can add or would be a good recap, if any of you know anything about psychology any help would be great.
    Thanks
    Nicholas

Why not write what you know instead of asking us?

Seriously, you want some psychologically motivated plots? Memento, The Machinist, Moon, Event Horizon, The Idiot, Crime and Punishment, Daemons, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Fatal Attraction, The Game, Cape Fear, Los Diaboliques, Straw Dogs, Play Misty, Se7en, 1984, Taxi Driver, The Manchurian Candidate, Rear Window, Strangers on a Train, Silence of the Lambs, Vanilla Sky, The Death of Ivan Illych.

Why not tell us what your story is about, first?

Just had to compliment you on the list man.:D

We need to know what it's about. Your request seems pretty strange out of context.

You've said nothing about your plot. Start there.

How did you come to decide you wanted to write psychologically-based plots? It sounds like you just sort of picked it out of a hat.

What is your plot? What is your main character like? What does he or she do? Why does he or she do that? What made him or her that way? I'd kick these questions around if I were you, before I decided I was going to write a psychologically-based plot.

    My Plot is.
The main character a women finds herself having family problems so she goes out one night to a local pub, and a man has been watches her moves for the last several weeks without her notice and then spikes her drink that night.
She finds herself waking up in an abandoned building.
He then forces her to do things she doesn’t wanted to do (Like Murders and such), she then begins to like this and becomes addicted to them, her mind get brain washed as such and she begins to do it more, then somehow she gets out realises that there is a world out there after years of entrapment. And that’s all I got to.
    Hope this helps.

what will help most is to improve/perfect your grammar, before trying to write anything you hope to sell... sorry to be so blunt, but the basic skills are a necessity...
