    Gulliver's Travels

Discussion in 'Discussion of Published Works' started by ValianceInEnd, Jan 23, 2008.

Currently in school we are reading Gulliver's Travels by Johnathen Swift. I thought it would be typical boring stuff that isn't worth remembering (so cynical =P) but I found that I really like it. It's funny, interesting, and has political underlinings. What are your thoughts on this great classic?

I'm reading it again for an annotation and I always enjoy reading Swift's writing, his satirical voices and his uncanny ability to mock so much in so little language is wonderful. Enjoy the read.

Heh. I read it by myself. They don't make use read any cool stuff like that in school. Shame.

All I know about this book is that for the 500, 000$ question on Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader they asked who the author was =D

And that my friend just read it a week ago.
