With my exams done I get more writing done. Nothing like waiting for results to motivate me.

Those chapter titles intrigue me. Especially chapter 9.

Yes, I thought it was a fun thing. No sex in the novel though, he's just meeting with a group of mercenaries who have set up shop, and the protagonist is associated with sea creatures so it fit.

Took far too long a break working on lore. Working out a system for an electoral monarchy is awkward as hell.

And now I realised why I took a break. Working out an opening for the chapters is the part I find the hardest.

Thinking I need to add a chapter before the first to establish my MC's motivation and character a little more clearly. Three chapters in and I'm struggling to characterise him. If anyone is free to read what I have as a whole and confirm/deny my thoughts, I'd be very happy.

Set myself a goal of writing five hundred words a day at least. Assuming each chapter is two thousand words on average, each would take my four days. That's 108 days, after which it can edited.

Chapter 3 had been expanded into two chapters due to lenght. I get the feeling having it as two 2500+ word pieces instead of 1 5000+ will be easier read.
