Hello! I am TwistedTales, I am new to this forum. But I'm certainly not new to writing I have a two questions, I would definitely appreciate it if you could answer them. 1) if I were to post a story on this website, where should I post them? 2) I have clicked on a few topics, and I noticed that there isn't a button to start a thread...So, are there requirements to post on specific topics? Thank you for reading. An explanation would be greatly appreciated -TT
Ah...the second question about those "subforums" They're not subforums They are workshops, change of question. What's a workshop? XD
If you check out this: https://www.writingforums.org/threads/new-member-quick-start-guide.132102/ , it should answer your questions. Welcome and have fun!
Hi, and welcome. You are already a member as you wouldn't be allowed to post here otherwise. You really do need to read everything in the link that @I.A. By the Barn sent you. It covers normal forum rules and also lets you know things about when you can start posting your work, etc. That's where your answers about how the membership works are. Read the link, and then if you have questions, come back and we'll try to help. But the link is there so we aren't re-inventing the wheel for each new member.
Oh! registering for the website...makes you a member! thank you for the reply and the link. Really helpful.
Hi @TwistedTales... the writing workshop is the place in the forums where you're allowed to post your stories, poetry or non-fiction piece of writing.. however, if you read the link you'll notice that there are requirements before you're able to post. Briefly it says 1. You have to be a member of the forums for two weeks first 2. You're required to give at least two constructive critiques on other stories/poems before you post yours and... 3. You should make 20 posts minimum other than the first two critiques which can be made anywhere in the forums. This is all summed up in @I.A. By the Barn's link, when you scroll to the part about posting your story.
