    App store Dictionaries

Discussion in 'Research' started by Fitzroy Zeph, Jan 1, 2014.

    Greeting all,

I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for an App store dictionary with some meat to it. The ones I've downloaded so far give sparse definitions that I sometimes find lacking. I thought I would pay more and get the Oxford Concise but it's as bad as the rest.

Yeah, I've not found an app dictionary with a cost I'm willing to pay that really makes me happy either. I use them for work in translation, so I need pretty exhaustive definitions. Just so you know, it's no better for Spanish dictionaries. o_O

I paid $15 for the Oxford Concise but it's not better than the ones for a buck.

If there's a dictionary.com app go for that one. It'll take you to the website.
