    Hello from a sci-fi universe

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by Flexbile Garphite, Jan 9, 2007.

Hi everyone. I enjoy writing and write almost purely science fiction. I have completed the first draft of a novel (114000 words) and have started on the sequel. Someday soon I'll go back and edit the first one.

I love to critique but don't have very much of my own that I want to offer for critique (most of it is too long). Soon I will post something, though, an excerpt from my novel, perhaps. I look forward to working with you guys.

    Hi Flex,

Welcome to WF and good luck with your novel.

Friend of mine likes to write historical fiction but says there's no future in it. Is there any future in science fiction?

    Cheers,
    Rob

Well... that's a good question. I know an archaeologist whose career lies in ruins. But honestly I can't answer that question any other way than with my instincts, and therefore, I do think sci-fi has future.
