Hello from Mississippi

My name is Scott (obviously), and I'm from Mississippi. I've done some small scale writing in the past just for my own personal enjoyment, but never anything major. I've had a dream for a while to write a novel for older preteens/young teens, and I've decided that I want to give it a go now. I may not get it off the ground, but I really want to try. I joined this forum with the hopes of getting some ideas and advice to get started. I look forward to getting involved in the forums.

 

Welcome! What part of Mississippi? I lived in Oxford and Taylor for 7 years. It keeps calling me back.

 

I'm in the southeastern part of the state, not far from Laurel.

I'm not much of a beach-goer myself, and believe it or not, I'm an Alabama fan, lol. I have a large amount of family in the Birmingham area, so that's how that came about. Thanks for the welcome!
