    Hello thanks for having me

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by PGWhyte, Sep 10, 2016.

    Hi folks,
I've been ploughing through various websites/forums and found this website. Love the layout, general idea and its more active than most.

Looking to gain some useful knowledge and pass anything on if needed (new to writing, so very limited)

I'm a huge fan of Horror and Fantasy novels, with the occasional Crime or Thriller.
I've read many a Zombie book and it is where i get my inspiration from, maybe expand to something different in the future....who knows?

Anyway, i won't bore you too much

Again thanks for having me and I'm looking forward to my journey here

    Phil

    Hi Phil!
I've honestly never read any horror (probably because I'm a wimp) but I do read a lot of fantasy. So do you combine these for your zombie idea or is it the more recent science route?
    Anyway, welcome, and have fun!

    Hey, thanks for the welcome!
My current Novella is following a more scientific route but i will not rule anything out in the future.
Most zombie/horror books I've read were based in the USA and have guns or involve highly trained individuals. I'm hoping to do something different, based in Cornwall, UK and with regular folk. I hope i can produce something different with a more to the point way of writing.

    Thanks again

When I feel confident enough ill post bits and pieces from it. I'm planning on writing a few short stories with the aim of tying them into my future Book/series. Hopefully I'll find my style along the way while learning from various resources I've found.

    Welcome to WF, Phil! :)

Fantasy and horror are two of my favorite genres. I'm always overjoyed if I happen to come across a truly creepy horror novel. :D

Here's our New Member Quick Start to get you started. See you around!
