Hello, from the Land of Rednecks! My name is Becky, and I live in the beautiful Ouachita Mountains with my railroader husband and two little girls. I'm a stay-at-home mom to said girls, an amateur chef, backyard gardener, and a writer. I mostly stick to creative non-fiction, memoir and such. But I also play around with fiction from time to time, and have written freelance articles for our local paper. My current ongoing project is a blog called How to Succeed at Motherhood (Without Really Trying). It's part food blog, part parenting, part therapy journal. Grinding away on a novel is pretty tough with a 3-year-old and a 6-month-old, so the blog is a good way to keep myself writing and sort through the floatsam of my weird life. Aside from those newspaper articles, I haven't yet been published in any capacity. It's not high on my priority list right now, but I am keeping an eye on market trends and trying to stay current. Good to be here, look forward to reading and writing with y'all!
Welcome to the site, Becky. That's a pretty part of the country you live in. I hope you enjoy the forums!
I spent some time in Arkansas. You could say my relationship with the place was a little rocky. Anyways, welcome to the madhouse, hope you enjoy your stay and the complimentary (and maybe a bit mandatory) straight jacket.
Oh my god, you're the second person to use my line. It spreads! Anyway, happy belated welcome @rnorris88, and enjoy the ride! Oscar out!
