Hey all, First, I'm not a writer... but maybe I am. I'm going through a bit of a manic phase and the words are just BURSTING out of me. that's unusual for me because i'm an INTROVERT - and recently i find myself SHOUTING in my HEAD. ALL. THE. TIME. If I write in this weird style, does it belong here? If not, any ideas where I can go? I'd like to find a community, a tribe, to be my teacher/student, student/teacher and walk with me down the path. I'm not looking for a place where there's all the answers i could ever want. i'm looking for a place where this fits in. i'm looking for a home - no matter how temporary. if this is not my home, then please be kind and help me find it. -seriouslyjai

Welcome to Writing Forums, seriouslyjai! I hope you find what you're looking for here, whatever your interests in writing. This forum aims to provide the best workshopping resources on the internet, and to that end we have a few rules which you should familiarise yourself with before you get stuck in. The main section of the site is the Writing Workshop, where members can post their writing in order to receive critique of their work. However, before we allow members to post their work, they must have met some basic requirments. Firstly, you must have been a member for fourteen days, and have made twenty posts on the forum overall (please note, posts in Word Games do not count towards this). This is so that members, when they post their work, have familiarised themselves with the forums and contributed to them (as well as hopefully learned something for themselves). Secondly, members must provide two constructive reviews of other people's work for each piece of their own that they wish to post. This is because we believe that the focus of workshopping should be equally upon giving reviews as receiving them, as they allow a writer to practice and improve their editing skills, which they can then apply to their own writing. Beyond the Writing Workshop, you will find that we have extensive forums for discussion of aspects of writing, as well as a community area for general discussion. We also run periodic short story and poetry contests, which are good for challenging yourself and expanding your skills. If you have any questions or problems, then the moderators (myself, Cogito, Lemex and Dante Dases) should be your first port of call. Any technical problems with the site itself should be directed to Daniel, the site administrator and owner. Hello seriouslyjai, Life has many stopovers. No reason why this place wouldn’t be one for you. Enjoy your stay! From what I have seen (I just arrived too), this is where you can find examples of writing skills from the extreme literary to off-the-cuff-writing. There ought to be something just for you here. Reading archived posts is quite interesting and exposes you to an interesting sample of personalities, writing styles, practical tips, and ideas. Btw, I am also an introvert. I think the Internet is like a black hole for people like us
In all do honesty it's great to know people like us exist never knew what a introvert was until I came upon this thread and looked it up I think that explains my intricate world of fantasy o_0 By the way - welcome to the forums!
