    Should probably introduce myself

    Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by kfmiller, Jan 11, 2015.

    I tend to just jump right in, and I forgot to introduce myself.

    Hi! My name is Kristin and I'm a mom/wife/realtor/writer/all-around troublemaker.

    I quote Anchorman and Super Troopers way too much, I jump first and reassess whether or not that was a good idea later, and I have no time in my life for self-righteous people.

    I'm working on several pieces at once because I can't seem to actually finish anything. Hopefully that will change- I want to finish the novel I'm working on by my 31st birthday which is in March. I should probably get going on that right....meow.

    Haha! I already saw a few threads that made me chuckle. I don't hate and I don't engage myself in threads I know will irritate me- something I've learned in old age :p

    It took me a few moments to get the "meow" part, it's been a while since I last watched the movie..

    Thirty-one is far from 'old.' If you really do feel aged, though, just tour an elderly care home; the contrast might put spring in your step;).

    Anyway, welcome to the forum! :)

    @Okon Bahaha don't worry, I don't think I'm actually old although I have to admit turning 30 was a hard pill to swallow. 6o is the new 40 right?!

    @Hwaigon it'll come. It's like when you turned 24 and cringed at what you did when you were 15. And that's from someone who got taken home by the cops after she got her car stuck in the woods with her boyfriend at 16.

    @GingerCoffee Thanks :)! My youngest is super ginger so I assume I'm in good company! lol

    And last but not least @DeadMoon am I to assume that no one is up for a mustache ride?!

    Don't let the opinionated get to you! there is no such thing as self-righteous. Well I guess that's not totally true, but it always unfounded :)

    @kfmiller

    Yours are the words of experience and wisdom. I have observed the cringe trend progressing with age myself. The thing is that in my case it tends to speed up rapidly, landing me cringing over mistakes (wrong takes, guesses) I did two years ago. Half a year ago, week ago. The crushing self-enlightenment makes me doubt I'm mature enough for 25.
