I'm 28 and live in the UK, and am an expert procrastinator in need of some motivational peer pressure. I don't think I've actually finished a piece of creative writing since I was a teenager. I recently started a new job which involves a lot of driving, and the extra thinking time has made me really want to knuckle down and properly write at least one of the novels which have been floating around my head for years. In the interests of getting something finished, however, I'm playing with the idea of writing a short story first. I'm also here because I need some kicking into shape on the matter of plot. I'm reasonably happy with my character development and world-building, but I really struggle with plots which aren't terrible cliches. Really looking forward to getting stuck in!
