    Hi!

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by A.S.Ford, Feb 21, 2016.

Hey, so I'm a Creative Writing student at the University of Gloucestershire (UK) and have already had three poems published within The Dawntreader journal; I do also write novels and short stories but none of those have yet been published. I like to write nature-themed pieces as well as fantasy and historical fiction. I thought this site might be a good way for me to feel more motivated and gain a writing community which I look forward to becoming a part of :)

Sounds good, Horror is a good genre to write in and it has some pretty awesome sub-genres, but I'm guessing you already know/think that too. How long have you been writing for?

Not to long, just over a year but I have had an interest in it for a long time. I let my job and live get in the way I for a long time. much regrets there but I can't do anything about that now, all I can do is try harder in the future to make more time.

Hi there! It seems as if you're quite the writing veteran, having been published and all. I think you'll feel very at home in this forum. I look forward to reading some of your work!

Thank you datahound2u :) I wouldn't say I was a veteran, haha, I still feel quite like an amateur, but I am grateful for my current publications. Have any of your works been published? I'm definitely looking forward to becoming an active member of this forum and meeting many of the other members :) I shall look out for your works as well!

I love historical fiction when it feels authentic. Welcome to the forums!

Thank you Penfist :) I agree that historical fiction needs to feel authentic and I strive to make my pieces as historically accurate as I can ... with the exception of an alternative history piece I am working on, which is accurate other than the 'alternative' part, haha. Do you write historical fiction too?
