    Childrens book

Discussion in 'Revision and Editing' started by FinalStar, Jul 25, 2011.

Hello, I have a question about getting a children books. Not sure this is the right here to post this. But my mom wrote a childrens book with very ruff drawings. What would she have to do to get it ready to turn in to a agent? Dose she have to find an artist to do the drawing?

No. A publisher will provide an illustrator if they decide to take it on.

you can email me for ms samples, as i write children's books for a chicago publisher and i mentor many who write stories and books for children...

most publishers won't accept artwork, as they assign their own illustrators... and many agents won't bother with only a single p/b ms, since there's so little money in it for them... so it's best to go directly to publishers...

i can also help you/your mom get the ms up to publishing standards, if you want...

    love and hugs, maia
