I joined this site hoping to get some feedback on a novel I'm currently working on but now I'm not sure if I should post because it contains graphic violence in the opening chapter: by graphic though I mean something sylistic, not pornographic. Think Kill Bill rather than Saw. Anyways, I just wanted to get some feedback on whether posting that would be acceptable. Thank you for your time.
It really depends on the specific case in question. If you'd like, you can PM me a few paragraphs that exemplify it, and I'll give you guidance on whether or not it's suitable. We tend to be fairly lenient (within reason), and as long as it's not really over the top, it should be alright.
and as long as a warning is included in the subject line, so those who don't like such stuff won't inadvertantly be exposed to it by opening the thread...
Agree with Mamamaia. I'm personally OK with reading whatever, but it'd be wrong to mislead people who aren't. (I think I'm going to grammar hell for that last sentence)
I see nothing wrong with it, unless a moderator would say something about it. I don't care to read adult content or any stories that may have sexual or swearing content in it...I think it's as long as you don't write it to do it directely at somebody...
