    Manuscript formatting software

Discussion in 'Writing Software and Hardware' started by Gloria Sythe, Jun 13, 2015.

I have been told by a fellow writer that a new manuscript formatting software is on the market (StyleEase for Chicago Manual of Style) that works with MS Word . Apparently, it does all the proper manuscript formatting as the writer types and it holds the formatting when saved to CD or memory stick. Has anyone used or read up on this new software and does it help?

From their website, it also "corrects" your style as you write. I'm not sure that is suitable for a novel writer.

Honestly ... formatting isn't that hard. Why shell out any amount of money for something you can do yourself with minimal hassle?

I suppose you could use it for a novel, but I'm not sure why you would bother. Looks like a product for academic writing, which makes sense.
