Is this the site to discuss writing a practical software book?

Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by password, Aug 30, 2016.

    Hello all,

I've just across this site and would be interested in discussing topics around writing a software book in ebook form.

It seems that this sight is mainly for fictional works? Have I come to the wrong place?

    Many thanks

Our forum is significantly more geared toward fictional works and creative writing in general. That's not to say you won't find help here as regards formatting, clarity in writing, etc., but we don't really have any areas of discussion to address the more technical aspects of the topic on which you are writing.

I think that many of this forum's discussions of writing mechanics would be nicely applicable to a book about software.

I used to be a technical writer for a software company about 20 years ago. Anything specific you want to talk about?
