How do you pre-plan your characters?

    Just you reveal their inside when the times comes. Not pre-planned but you just think of the reaction at that time.

    Disembowelment is not the answer.

    Seriously, though, I agree. I find detailed pre-planning of a character leads to a rigid, static character. I know some people do work better with everything planned to the T, but it's not for everyone.

    Each writer needs to find his or her own best process.
