That's about how fast (or slowly) I read. I'm finishing Les Misérables now and I started reading this at the beginning of the last month.
I am always in the middle of 1 or 2 novels. I probably read 2-3 books a month BUT if I am traveling a lot for business then I go through double that on planes.
I'm on holiday for uni so i can read quite a lot although it depends which book. I'm reading The Idiot by Dostoyesky just now and although i'm enjoying it I can only manage about 1 hour a day.
when working full time on what people send me for help or on my own stuff, only a few pages before sleep... if nothing else to do, or when out of commission, i often go through a whole book and start another...
I haven't read that much recently, but that has more to do with not having any English books around. (Silly Chinese only having books in Chinese.) But when I get the chance, I generally read a medium size (600 page) novel in a little under a week. This doesn't include newspapers, and blogs, just actual books. But at times, generally when I'm bored, or the book is really good, I can read several thousand page a day.
I usually read for an hour a day. I really love books. Crappy, sappy, happy, etc. just love em all. Each one brings me to a new place and helps me with my writing, whether it be inspiration or what to avoid.
I read probably about 3 hours a day. Depending on the book though I can read 8 - 9 hours straight. I love all types of books.
