    How does student publishing work?

Discussion in 'Traditional Publishing' started by uNuur, Jan 8, 2011.

I honestly don't know how student publishing actually works. Is it sort of like normal publishing?

If you can take the time and explain it to me than thanks. :)

By "student publishing" I'm assuming you mean that you're a student who wants to publish a story/poem/novel/article through the traditional publishing process (i.e. not self-publishing).

Your age and profession don't matter when it comes to publishing (you might need a parent or guardian to sign contract if you're under 18). Don't even mention your age in your cover letter. Let your work speak for itself.

Sorry for not explaining well enough. I guess published for pay? My teacher asked me if I want my work published. She suggested student publishing, and I didn't really know what it was exactly.

Maybe your school/college has its own publication, and your teacher was referring to that. But it's best to just ask her and clear up the matter.
