Discussion in 'Research' started by NiftyNico146, Oct 17, 2007.

For my novel Im planning I need to know the impact of nuclear fallout on the lives of people close enough to have survived but still get affected by fallout. Im having trouble finding exactly what I need.

    Thanks!

Hey NiftyNico, I've looked up a whole bunch of stuff on this before, so I hope I can help. The following text is an excerpt from the U.S. Army survival manual, pertaining to survival in a post-nuclear environment.

Below it is a couple of links from wikipedia that might be helpful to read.

Atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki
Cobalt bombs, a type of high-radiation nuke
    Neutron bombs, annother high-radiation device
Cancer caused by nuclear testing in nevada
British nuclear tests at Maralinga, Australia, and their effects
    Chernobyl Disaster
    Radiation Sickness

I hope this stuff is what youre looking for, good luck!
